Nigeria is a country that is blessed with all forms of natural resources anyone can think of. Hence, it will be judicious if the government can shift its lens from oil economy couple with the frequent dwindling in price of oil at the global market that seems to impact on Nigerian economy, to other non-oil sectors like solid minerals, transportation, shipping, agriculture, etc. This study therefore is designed to assess the viability of other sectors. The survey method was applied, data was used to analyze, using the one on one interview method of data analysis.

The cultural particularism that charity begins at home underscores the role of the family as agent of socialization accountable for raising noble wards. That once esteemed role now ares the trappings of change. The institution of the family has been altered owing to flurry of change provoked by modernization. The family is losing it control in modeling value driven behaviour in the society. This tendency of causal relationship is predictable and addresses futuristic realisms.
The study examined the effects of e-training on employees’ job commitment in Federal College of Education, Osiele, Abeokuta, Ogun state, Nigeria. Proportionate random sampling technique was employed in selecting the sample size of 84 respondents from a total population of 107 employees. Data was collected structured using questionnaire of five-point rating scale. Data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics.
The neglect of the ageing population in the provision of healthcare services has called for a change in how health services are implemented in Nigeria. Nigeria no doubt has a National Health Act 2014. However, its effectiveness in providing healthcare for the ageing population requires exploration. This study aims to review the provisions of the National Health Insurance Authority Act 2022 regarding the ageing population in sustainable healthcare delivery. The study adopted the secondary method of data in its literature review.
This research investigates the mismanagement of waste products by oil and gas industries in Delta State. It focuses on the factors responsible for poor waste management, the environmental impact of oil spillage, socio-economic development of host communities, and existing government policies. The study hinged on the conflict perspective with a survey research design and a sample size of 377 respondents from a population of 188,728 to gauge opinions from Jeddo Community of Uvwie Locality, Delta State.
This study examines the impact of parents’ decisions on career choices among young people in Akwa Ibom State of Nigeria. This become necessary as the dynamics of parents’ values, socioeconomic standing, educational background, and professional experiences influence and impacted on the young people career choices among the people. The study adopted Social Cognitive Career and Ecological Systems theories to explain the issue under investigation and interviewed 20 respondents.
The study aims to assess the programme of freedom radio kano ‘Barka da Hantsi’on the perception of people of Kano municipal on fuel subsidy removal by president Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and 200 listeners of ‘Barka da Hanstsi’ programme on freedom radio in Kano Municipal were selected for the study. Systematic sampling techniques was used to collect data from the respondents and it was discovered Barka da Hanstsi’ programme has created an agenda for people to centre their discussion on fuel subsidy removal issues in Nigeria 85%.

These altered perceptions, shaped by social media, online gaming, and other digital platforms, influence the thoughts, actions, and social behaviors of individuals, particularly juveniles. While these mediated environments offer significant opportunities for learning and connection, they also pose risks, including increased involvement in internet fraud.
Childlessness is a common occurrence that negatively affects many homes worldwide. Experts reveal that it has diverse impacts on the married folks; and also seen as a stigma and a public health issue. The study was designed to investigate the psychosocial impact of childlessness on mental health of married couples in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State and was hinged on the conflict theory. A correlational survey design was utilized and a total of 104 respondents selected through simple random sampling were participants in the survey.
Women’s empowerment and development are closely interconnected, as development can significantly reduce gender inequality; while empowering them contribute to economic progress. However, development policies and programs often do not recognize women as integral to the development process as seen in the emphasis on investments in their reproductive roles instead of their productive capacities, particularly through population programs. Despite this, women across the developing world actively participate in economically productive work and earn incomes.
