In the digital age, technological advancements have reshaped human interaction and behavior, leading to the emergence of mediated realities. These altered perceptions, shaped by social media, online gaming, and other digital platforms, influence the thoughts, actions, and social behaviors of individuals, particularly juveniles. While these mediated environments offer significant opportunities for learning and connection, they also pose risks, including increased involvement in internet fraud.

Cyber-crime is a criminal activity that is involves using computers and its related devices for fraudulent activities. Cybercrime results in the loss of lives, properties, business investments all over the world. Hence, this study assessed community vigilante and cybercrime control in the selected communities in the Ogun State, Southwest Nigeria. The research design was descriptive, correlational in nature. Data was collected through primary and secondary sources. The study was conducted among the youths, community leaders and traditional leaders.
