The world over, public relations has been acknowledged as having a significant role to play in any human organisation. Although there appears to be misconceptions about it’s relevance in public health institutions. It is against this backdrop that this study sought to thoroughly examine the relevance of public relations units in the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Benin City. To make for better understanding of the topic under focus, the study utilized the public sphere theory as its theoretical underpin.
