While these mediated environments offer significant opportunities for learning and connection, they also pose risks, including increased involvement in internet fraud.

Urbanization and migration are critical forces shaping the demographic, economic, and environmental landscape of urban centers worldwide. In Nigeria, rapid urbanization has been particularly evident in cities like Benin City, the capital of Edo State. Over the past few decades, the Benin City has witnessed significant urban expansion driven primarily by rural-urban migration, economic opportunities, and infrastructural development. While urbanization contributes to economic growth and modernization, it also presents a range of socio-economic and environmental challenges.

The study looks at Nigerian Police and internal security conundrum. In recent times, the country has witnessed a surge in the spate of insecurity which has taken a heavy toll on lives and properties of the citizens. Banditry, kidnapping for ransom, insurgency, ritual killings, cybercrime, among others, have been the order of the day. The police whose mandate is to maintain law and order within the country have been overwhelmed and seemingly incapable of adequately containing the situation.
