This paper investigates the relationship between good governance and the poor state of sustainable development in Nigeria using regression analysis. The research design used in this study is Ex post facto. This study uses secondary data from reputable sources such as the World Bank, the United Nations, and the Nigerian Bureau of Statistics. The dataset includes governance indicators and sustainable development metrics for Nigeria from 2010 to 2020.

Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) are considered critical actors and stakeholders in the international development landscape globally today. They play a crucial role in humanitarian action, the sustenance of democracy and good governance, the protection of human rights, and poverty reduction. Some scholars however see their activities and functions as mainly neo-liberal, uncoordinated, and imperialistic, this paper assesses the role of Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs) in development in Nigeria.
The article did a critical review of socialization modernization and development: the Nigeria scenario. It took a systematic review approach which involved the use of information material that covers the year range of 2000 and 2023, and thematic analysis was deployed to achieve the objective of the study. In addition, the study deploys the Cochrane reviews style of reviewing literature, and was used in the searching process to obtain useful materials for the study.
Corruption in Nigerian public sector is the foremost factor that precipitated military coups, insecurity and other myriad of challenges in the country’s 63 years of independent existence. In this paper, the phenomenon of corruption in Nigeria is the subject of critical analysis. Secondary data from journal articles, newspaper reports, published books and reports provided the basis for a narrative review. Thus, the paper chronologically unravels the situation of corruption and the fight against it in the 15 leadership regimes the country has had since its independence in 1960.
